A same sex wedding ceremony with a relaxed and fun atmosphere at the Fort Amherst tunnels and grounds in Chatham, Kent - an impressive location for a civil partnership within this splendid Napoleonic Fort with Tunnels, Moats, and Bastions

The same sex ceremony was relaxed and here we see the couple enjoying their company at the registration

The Wedding Organiser had spent the best part of the morning scattering small candles along the tunnels - this adds to the personalised touch which we believe enhances this as a Kent wedding venue for a civil partnership. Even though it was a hot summers day - the tunnels were chilly. Here we can see the couple in the distance being seranaded by a volunteer piper marching through the fort guiding our couple to a champagne reception held outside

There are many volunteers on duty at the fort. This photograph taken just before they took aim with their rifles to salute the couple. The noise from the rifles really does get amplified by those chalk cliffs!

Although it is not compulsory, the volunteer artillery will allow the civil partnership couple to light a cannon - they are open mouthed in order to allow the sonic boom to escape from their ears!

These images show the unique beauty of the brick built outer fortifications that surround Fort Amherst. The piper is on hand to seranade the same sex couple throughout the wedding photography of the group shots

We can just make out the heart shape of small candles flickering at the altar in the chapel cave within the fort - a romantic reminder of why we are here - to witness a magnificent civil partnership amongst the majesty of Fort Amherst

The caterers had laid the table settings in this unique dinner hall. There are some windows that afford a vista into one of the fine Napoleonic moats

There are plenty of wedding photography opportunities at this wonderful fort

A1Photoimaging highly recommend Fort Amherst for a same sex civil partnership. This was a very relaxed, romantic, and enjoyable afternoon spent in the tunnels and Napoleonic fortifications overlooking Chatham in Kent
