Wedding Reception|Cooling Castle Barn

The castle gate-house makes for a grand backdrop for the couple as they exit the wedding car

• Situated close to the Thames, north of Upnor and Rochester, East of Cliffe in Kent
• The habitable part of the castle is the residence of musician Jools Holland

The Tithe or Great Barn looks spectacular in its winter plumage complete with Christmas decorations

once the formalities of the speech and cake-cutting are over, there is plenty of time to party

the look of pure adoration for his new wife and their first dance to kick-start the party

throwing the bouquet was a fiercely fought affair!

... and the winner is!

although us photographers were in on this, none of the guests were aware that the last dance of the evening would be accompanied by snow-machines installed in the roof of the tithe barn - a truly magical ending for a pre-christmas wedding at Cooling Castle Barn

and their guests are obviously delighted to be dancing inside when it's snowing!!
