To be honest with you, this wedding shoot was, on the face of it, one of the easiest we could have hoped for.  The bride, Stacey, was getting ready at the Bridgewood Hotel, the same venue for their ceremony and reception. 

The groom, Chris, was due to arrive at the hotel before the England v Jamaica world cup warm-up football match

Glen took this set up ice breaker to get the lads in the mood for the match

With Mike "in charge" of photographing Stacey whilst she was getting ready.  He grabbed the opportunity to arrange some items that were important to her special day.  Bridal artefacts are a personal stamp of individuality - we like to take these types of pictures and look forward to using them in our coffeebooks 

A last minute change of decision from Stacey meant that Mike had to travel to Chatham "Body Shop" where the bride had some emergency adjustments to her make-up.  Unusual? - you bet!

Looks like Chris is deep in thought, caught whilst the lads were enjoying the first half of England v Jamaica in the hotel breakfast room

It was around this time that Stacey was returning from the Body Shop excursion, so Glen ushered the lads into the swimming pool area to avoid them seeing the bride

A quick glance at the registrars gubbins, and Glen placed these items into a pleasing arrangement.  In the trade we like to call this a "cameo shot"

It's a pleasure to see genuine reactions, and this candid was captured whilst everyone waited in the hotel registry area

Chris sees his soon to be wife for the first time.  These shots are often very difficult to achieve, especially with the movement of the registrar and assistant.  We tend to "hand-hold" our equipment (no pun intended!) which enables us to flit about with relative ease, capturing moments of pure joy

The newlyweds summonsed some VIP's from their congregation - this was not a formal shot, but the appeal of a semi-candid like this adds reality and personal qualities to the proceedings - keeping it real.

As well as taking an "aerial" shot of the confetti in the garden quad area, having two photographers ensured that a closer shot of the celebration was possible - and looking at those delightful expressions I'm really pleased we captured the moment.  This type of shot works well as a "zoomed pan" on the DVD slideshow which is complementary to the 60 prints in the package.

We take advantage of any facilities that we encounter during the days shoot.

The reception party is a great time to capture great candids
